Our substitute for QIS™ Purple gomphrena, which temporarily has limited inventory. Audray Purple-Red is very similar to QIS™ Purple in terms of productivity and the bloom color is identical. 1 1/2" blooms. Also known as globe amaranth and common globe amaranth. Ht. 18–28". Avg. 12,400 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.
DAYS TO GERMINATION:5-14 days at 70-78°F (21-26°C)
SOWING:Transplant – Sow 6-8 weeks before last frost. Cover seed lightly with about 1/8" growing media. Keep soil surface moist. Transplant to cell packs or larger containers about 3 weeks after sowing. Transplant outside after danger of frost has passed. Direct seeding is not recommended.
LIGHT PREFERENCE:Sun.

PLANT SPACING:6-8". No pinching or support is necessary.
