New! Uniform organic Italian dandelion with good color and performance.
Excellent for both baby leaf and full-size bunching. Bright green, jagged leaf with upright, vigorous growth. Petiole stays narrow for easy cut-and-come-again harvests at baby stage. When grown for bunching, the thick, wide ribs add sweetness and juiciness to the eating experience and contribute to yield. Classic appearance for this type. Maintains stem thickness, uniformity, and productive re-cuts by not producing sideshoots. Just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness! Faster growing than Puntarelle chicory, to which it is genetically similar, and can be used the same way if stems are ribboned and soaked in cold water. Pairs well with Italiko Red for bunching or baby use. USDA Certified Organic.
