Unique, bicolor Gem-type marigold.
Hundreds of petite flowers cover neat, low mounds of lacy foliage with a citrusy scent. ¾-1¼" flowers are lemon yellow with a maroon star-shaped pattern in the center. Long-blooming for beds, borders and containers.

Ht. 12-18". Avg. 39,300 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.

DAYS TO GERMINATION: 4-7 days at 75-80°F (24-27°C).

SOWING: Transplant: Sow 4-6 weeks before last frost. For flowering packs sow 8 weeks before desired bloom time. Lightly cover the seed. Keep soil surface moist until emergence. Transplant to cell packs
or larger containers when true leaves appear. Harden off and transplant outside when the danger of frost has passed. Direct seed: After last frost, sow 1/4" deep. Thin when true leaves appear.

NOTES: High temperatures can cause plants to stall, and temporarily decline in growth and bloom.
Deadhead regularly to increase blooms.
Pinch to make the plants bushier.

LIGHT PREFERENCE: Sun.

SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Average soil. Feed moderately.

PLANT SPACING: 8-18". French Marigold: 8-12". Gem Marigold: 12". African Marigold: 12-18".

HARDINESS ZONES: Annual.

HARVEST: Flowers are fully open but still have tight centers.

USES: Beds, borders, mass plantings, containers, and window boxes. Cut flower (‘Giant’ series). Edible flower. Bedding plant (‘Durango’ and ‘Queen Sophia’).

I’m sorry to say it but I was skeptical that these seeds would even germinate. The price point was just to good. I figured they had to be old. Im regretting it now. These seeds are amazing. I have seedlings vying with seedlings for life. I have no doubt they would have covered way more ground then I gave them. Follow the instructions and you can have gorgeous wild flower garden in no time. So happy I’m getting more!

Did my best to follow directions for sowing in early spring in Southern NJ. Everything germinated quickly but it wasn’t until mid to late June I started seeing the first flowers. I love finding something new has popped up each morning! I’ve identified probably about 80% of the flowers listed on the bag. But to be fair, the deer have eaten a ton so many haven’t had a chance to bloom. I am very happy with these seeds and will definitely use again in the future!
