Productive, easy-to-grow cut flower filler.
Airy, yet sturdy branches filled with tiny seed pods that resemble silvery-green coins. Grew faster and taller in our trials than Wrinkled Crinkled Cress, which is also used as a cut flower filler. We recommend multiple plantings about two weeks apart for continuous harvest. Persian Cress leaves are edible and have a mild, peppery flavor. Also makes a nice salad green. Organically grown. Ht. 36-40″ Avg. 12,300 seeds/oz. Packet: 100 seeds.
DAYS TO GERMINATION: 2-5 days at 55-65°F (13-18°C)
SOWING: Direct seed (recommended) – Sow as soon as soil can be worked. Cover seeds with 1/4″ soil. Thin when first true leaves appear. Transplant – Sow 4-6 weeks before last frost. Sow into cell packs or larger containers. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors. Support may be required.
